Funeral services for Mr. Yogi Darren Hamilton, of Eastman, Georgia, will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021, at 1 PM at the graveside in the Sanders Cemetery at 36 Sanders Cemetery Road in Chauncey, Georgia.
Mr. Yogi Hamilton was born to the late Curtis Hamilton, Sr., and the late Polly Mims Hamilton in Eastman, Georgia, on Wednesday, May 15, 1963. Yogi joined the Harper Chapel Baptist Church at an early age and later was ordained as a minister assisting his late cousin, Pastor Elston Wooten. Yogi attended the Dodge County School System. He was well known by many through his gift that God gave him as an awesome cook and grill master. Yogi had his own business, The Spot 1 & 2, where he loved to cook and talk trash. Yogi passed away on Monday, December 27, 2021. He will be sadly missed.
He leaves behind to cherish his memories a wife, Cassandra Walker Hamilton, a son, Akeem Jarmell Hamilton, eight stepchildren, Courtney Hamilton, Deidra Hamilton, Charles Wright, Destanee Wright, Devon Moorehead, Michael Hogue, Sr., Quinesha Moorehead, and Isa-leah Thomas, three brothers, Curtis (Betty) Hamilton, Jr., of Eastman, Georgia, Ray Hamilton of Fitzgerald, Georgia, and Roderick (Patricia) Hamilton of McRae, Georgia, three sisters, Annie Woods of Eastman, Georgia, Faye Clark of Chauncey, Georgia, and Lula (Shawn) Banks of McRae, Georgia, special friends, Drew Hilderbrand and Tyrone Williams, and a host of grandchildren, nephews, nieces, cousins, and friends who loved him dearly. Yogi will be greatly missed, but his memory will be with us forever.
